Reading 2 Kings Chapter 14

Amaziah becomes king of Judah after they kill his father. He proceeds to kill the men who killed his father, win a war against the Edomites, and dramatically lose a war with Jehoash of the Northern Kingdom of Israel. After 29 years, Amaziah also gets assassinated and his 16 year old son, Azariah, also known as Uzziah, gets crowned king. Around this time, Yahweh sends the prophet Jonah to tell the wicked king of Israel that he is going to give them relief from their enemies. Read from the World English Bible.
