यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठः.....

कश्चन वृद्धः प्रतिदिनं प्रवचनं श्रोतुं गृहस्य समीपस्थम् आश्रमं गच्छति स्म । गच्छता कालेन तस्य श्रवणशक्तिः न्यूना जाता चेदपि सः प्रवचनं श्रोतुं गच्छति स्म । एकदा प्रवचनकारेण कारणे पृष्टे वृद्धः वदति 'अहं परिवारस्य प्रमुखः अस्मि । अहम् अत्र आगच्छामि इति ज्ञात्वा मम परिवारजनाः अपि आगच्छन्ति । तेन तेषां हृदये भगवतः विषये श्रद्धा जीविता तिष्ठति । अतः श्रोतुम् अशक्तः अपि अहम् अत्र आगच्छामि' इति । प्रवचनकारः 'यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठः तत्तदेवेतरो जनः' इति गीतायाः वाक्यं स्मृतवान् ।

An elderly man would go to a nearby ashram every day to listen to discourses. Over time, his hearing ability declined, yet he continued attending the discourses. One day, the speaker asked him the reason for his persistence. The old man replied, "I am the head of my family. Seeing me come here, my family members also follow. This keeps their faith in God alive in their hearts. Hence, even though I am unable to hear, I still come." The speaker was reminded of the verse from the Bhagavad Gita: "Whatever a great person does, others follow in their footsteps."

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
