Today I am joined by Heather Dawn (and no, we are not related), a Certified Clinical Nutritionist and the founder of Conscious Nutrition. Her mission is to help provide a solid foundation to teach others how to nourish themselves with their food. Heather is a recovering Type-A nutritionist seeking perfection, only to realize the body is brilliant, and we just have to learn how to listen. Our relationship with food can be quite complicated. Like any relationship, it can contain limiting beliefs, judgments, and habits that can hold us back from being the healthiest version of ourselves. Many of us have an emotional attachment to food, making it so difficult to restrict ourselves or follow deprivation diets.
