यदा ठाकुरदासः हठात् दिवङ्गतः तदा कुटुम्बपोषणभारः तस्य पत्न्याः उपरि अपतत् । सा कष्टेन धनम् अर्जयित्वा प्रीत्या पुत्रं पोषितवती । सः अध्ययनसमाप्तेः अनन्तरम् उद्योगं प्राप्य धनं सम्पादयन्, पूर्वं मात्रे दत्तं वचनं स्मरन् विद्यालयानां, चिकित्सालयानां, सहायताकेन्द्राणां च आरम्भं कृतवान् । तस्य महात्मनः नाम ईश्वरचन्द्रविद्यासागरः ।

When Thakur Das suddenly passed away, the burden of supporting the family fell on his wife. With great effort she earned money and lovingly raised her son. After completing his studies, the son found employment and, remembering the promise he had once made to his mother, used his earnings to establish schools, hospitals, and aid centers. This noble soul became known as Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
