Blood & Rain

Fitzgerald dethroned Mark Twain as America’s most important writer, for he wrote of the affliction that struck America.

The same affliction of a malicious sentient spirit that plagued The British and German empires all the same.

It’s intoxicating.

It’s alluring.

It was personified in Gatsby.

The illusion of a higher ideal than God as proposed by Nietzsche under the influence of the same malicious spirit.
