In this message, Andrew Bolkcom looks at James 5:7–12 and what it means to patiently endure suffering, injustice, and uncertainty. Using the examples of the prophets, Job, and a farmer waiting for rain, he explains why patience isn’t passive but requires continuing to do what is right even when circumstances don’t change. Andrew also challenges us not to let the wrongdoing of others become an excuse for our own behavior. Ultimately, James points toward the return of Jesus as the reason to keep going when we’ve reached the limits of what we can control.
