The Third Beer Podcast

The Third Beer podcast guest today is a friend of mine who’s had four recent cancer treatments and her outlook is admirable. Megan Wolfenden has also had someone she knows want to end their life at the age of 20. This podcast is dedicated to things we don’t talk about enough, in an effort to help and heal a wider audience. Chris Dickson, my co-host and psychologist, brings thoughtful insight. This chat over a beer taste brings up further wicked problems of modern life including addictive behaviours to both legal and illegal substances. With all three of us growing large families, we explore our parental intentions to guide our teenagers to adulthood. Find out what board game is assured to bond you and your teens together so you can have mature, open conversations about sex, drugs and rock and roll – all part of growing up today.

What is The Third Beer Podcast?

The Third Beer is a regular Podcast hosted by Psychologist Chris Dickson and Brett McCallum. Each week they invite a special guest into the studio to talk about men’s health, mental health and general wellbeing whilst sharing a few beers. The focus is on those subjects that blokes find it hard to talk about. Brett has already shared a year-long mental health journey with the help of Chris, and although he is still a work-in-progress, Brett has seen himself become a better human being. While the chat with each week’s special guest will take place in a very informal setting and with an informal style, the conversation and topics are taken 100% seriously. Lets break down personal and world issues, one beer at a time.
