SquidgyFidget starts a conversation about the Switch not having a gamer score which leads us to a discussion on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. Then B drops a knowledge bomb about Nintendo bringing a online play to the Switch very soon.

I talk about the difficulty of being the first with some new technology, the death of the Saturn and Dreamcast; and B brings to our attention the fact that the consoles which win the wars are the ones which concede on certain aspects of their design and hardware for the mainstream, which takes us to a discussion on SegaNet.

I also link what happened in the video games crash of the 80s to what happened recently with Playerunknown’s Battleground, and how Nintendo fixed gaming back then by adding (what was effectively) a DRM chip to each cartridge for the NES.

What is Arrggh! A Video Game Podcast from The Waffling Taylors?

A fun and silly discussion about video games (both retro and contemporary), video game movies, and pretty much anything related to video games. It is hosted by brothers Jay and Squidge (who may or may not be a cartoon wolf), and featuring the best guests around - including some real video game development legends.
Whether it's an in-depth discussion about video games, films surrounding video games, or light-hearted nonsense and tangents, this may be the pod for you.
