जीवने हानिः लाभः च

कश्चन युवकः वणिक् वाणिज्ये महतीं हानिं प्राप्य गुरोः समीपे आगत्य बहुधा विलपितवान् । गुरुः  'भवतः जीवने किं नष्टं, किं च प्राप्तम् इति किञ्चित् परिशील्यताम्' इत्युक्त्वा एकं कागदम् अयच्छत् । यत् नष्टं तत् कागदस्य वामभागे, यत् प्राप्तं तत् दक्षिणभागे च लेखनीयम् इत्यवदत् गुरुः । दक्षिणभागस्था आवली सुदीर्घा जाता । एतस्य दर्शनात् युवकस्य उत्साहः प्रवृद्धः । सः अवदत् 'धनेन क्रेतुम् अयोग्याः बहवः अंशाः मयि सन्ति । आरोग्यम्, उत्साहः, आत्मीयतावर्षकाः, पत्नीपुत्रादयः, प्रोत्साहकाः सुहृदः, अमूल्यः अनुभवः च । इतःपरं पुनरपि प्रयत्नं कृत्वा नूतनं वाणिज्यम् आरभ्य सफलतां प्राप्स्यामि' इति ।

A young merchant, having suffered great loss in business, went to his teacher and lamented bitterly. The teacher gave him a sheet of paper and said: “Write on the left side what you have lost, and on the right side what you still possess”. When the merchant did so, the list on the right side became very long. Seeing this, his enthusiasm grew. He said: “I have many things that money cannot buy—health, energy, loving family, supportive friends, and priceless experience. With these, I will make fresh efforts and start a new business to achieve success”.

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
