Karly Borden's Bio:
I'm the coach and founder of The Public Run Club. I currently live in Santa Barbara, California, which is where I attended college, ran cross-country for my school, completed my first marathon, and where I began recovery from disordered eating and exercise compulsion. During this time, all of my treatment centered on establishing a new relationship with food, and exactly zero involved creating a new relationship with exercise. Over the next 12 years, through several types of therapy, personal study, and story-telling with peers, I worked towards health that not only tolerated movement but embraced it as an integral part of my wholeness. After coaching friends and family for years, I decided to put my own training front and center and became a certified RRCA coach in 2016 with the ultimate goal of creating a running club to help women proactively untangle from a complicated relationship with exercise and their bodies. We’re now a global group of women who are turning towards the stories of our bodies using running as our lens.

What is Connected: A Podcast With Jess?

Who Are You? That's my favorite question and I ask it of each of my guests. The stories of who we are matter. They connect us to each other and to parts of ourselves. The Connected Podcast is bringing you stories of women from all over the world to inspire, challenge, expand and grow you.
