To celebrate 47 years since the start of the first Whitbread Round the World Race in 1973, we talk to our special guest Enrique Carlín who was not only a crew member onboard the Mexican winner Sayula II, but also the son of the skipper and owner Ramón Carlín.
Enrique talks about setting off on an an adventure into the unknown as an inexperienced crew, serving under his pioneering father, and how the race has changed in almost half a century.
