November 1, 2026 - (Revelation 13:11-18) A second beast rises from the land. It looks like a lamb but speaks like a dragon.
Unlike the first beast, whose power is openly coercive, the second beast works through persuasion, spectacle, religious language, propaganda, and deception. Later Revelation calls this creature the false prophet because its task is to persuade the world to worship beastly power.
The false prophet resembles the Lamb sufficiently to appear trustworthy. This is the danger of counterfeit religion: it does not always reject Jesus openly. It borrows religious language, sacred symbols, moral urgency, and miraculous claims while directing allegiance toward something other than the Lamb. The false prophet creates an image, gives it the appearance of life, and pressures the world to worship it. It joins religious deception to economic coercion. Those who refuse the beast’s mark cannot buy or sell.
