We have a unique Hoop Dreams story this week. UCLA Bruin quarterback and Hutto High Hippos alumni Chase Griffin joins Will Gates and Arthur Agee on Hoop Dreams The Podcast. Chase was the star quarterback at Hutto High, part of the greater Austin area, where he threw for over 11,000 yards and 123 touchdowns and was named Gatorade Texas State Player of the Year and Ford Built Tough Player of the year. Chase graduated high school early and committed to UCLA where he was able to complete his degree in just 2 and 1/2 years while playing quarterback for the Bruins. Chase has become a pioneer in the NIL space, signing multiple brand deals and is now working on his masters degree while continuing to pursue his football career.
