अध्यापनं मम धर्मः

कश्चन राजा स्वपुत्रान् शिक्षयितुम् आचार्यं नियुक्तवान् । आचार्येण नानाविधैः उपायैः राजपुत्राणां शिक्षणं कृतं, किन्तु ते शीघ्रं विस्मरन्ति स्म । ततः आचार्यः तान् शिष्यान् घटस्य उदाहरणेन मननस्य महत्त्वं अबोधयत् । एतत् श्रुत्वा राजकुमाराः मननेन बुद्धिमन्तः अभवन् । तेषां बुद्धिमत्तां दृष्ट्वा सन्तुष्टः राजा आचार्याय अर्धराज्यं दातुम् ऐच्छत् । परं आचार्येण उक्तं यत् "अध्यापनमेव मम धर्मः, न प्रतिफलम् ।"

A king appointed a teacher to educate his sons. The teacher tried to teach them in various ways, but they would forget quickly. Then, the teacher explained to them the importance of reflection, just as a pot must be repeatedly dipped to collect water. Hearing this, the princes began reflecting on their learning and became wise. Seeing their wisdom, the king was pleased and wished to grant the teacher half his kingdom. However, the teacher said, "Teaching is my duty, not receiving rewards."

What is बालमोदिनी?

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
