Reading 1 Samuel Chapter 14

Jonathan chooses a strategic location to do battle with the Philistines who are oppressing Israel, while Saul sits under a pomegranate tree well within Gibeah. God magnifies Jonathan's efforts with some earth quaking. Jonathan eats a little honey after being hungry in battle, not knowing it could get him sentenced to death. And we get a listing of much of Saul's family. Read from the World English Bible.
