It's a good, good weekend to be alive in America. And thank God that 250 years ago you broke the bands with, you know, that other crowd, you know, the British, they, they had another war and they were in debt and I don't know if you knew that. So they decided to put the intolerable tax, it was called on the, on the American colonies. And they said, no way, buddy. And, and it was a horrific war. But your freedom, even though it's free, it cost a lot. And it's the same for us, like our freedom in Jesus, it cost a lot. Like He. He will never be the same again. Jesus made an eternal sacrifice. It wasn't just he died on a cross, rose from the dead, went back to being God. He's in a body like you and me, with scars in the hand for eternity. So his sacrifice is an eternal, never ending sacrifice. That's why my praise has to be eternal. Because his sacrifice never ends. He became man and then got a glorified body so that he could be the first fruits of every one of us. And you know, I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I don't know why, because Joe hates me talking about me shuffling off in a few years, you know, like 15. That'll be enough, won't it? Well, I'll be 90 by then. My God, that's, that's. And yeah, here's the, here's the deal, here's the deal. It's, it's like, okay, so heaven, Heaven is big. I mean it's, it's really big. It's 1500 miles long. Like the new city in the book of Revelation. Do you know that's a four and a half hour plane ride? You can get on a plane and fly four and a half hours along the wall. Heaven. And then the next wall, same, another four and a half hour plane ride and then it's the same that way. The International space station is 250 miles off planet Earth. This is 1500 miles. It's very big. We've got to fill the place. You cannot miss this. You cannot miss this. I cannot believe that we're mucking around arguing about whether women can preach in church while there are billions of people to be saved to be gotten into heaven. We want to cut out half the preaching force. Ridiculous. I mean, it takes a lot of people to fill that much. It's not just about don't go to hell, it's about go to heaven in a few years time, 10, 15, 20, whatever. I'll have this new body that glows, you'll have one too. It's called the transformed body. Jesus got one. He got the first body. It's the new unit. It's like the upgrade from Tesla one to Tesla six or whatever, you know, you kind of go, and now it's a, it's a body that never dies. Yeah. And, and we got a whole never ending galaxy to look after. So I'll have the Chris and I'll have the Pringle galaxy. It'll be the funnest galaxy there is. Yeah. And some of those religious guys who managed to get in, don't go over there. Come to the fun galaxy. Amen. And, and, and just to, just to think that this body is going to get transformed like Nat, you're going to have a new one. Whoa. Your spirit's going to be alive, you're going to be walking and it's going to happen in like the blink of an eye. Paul says one career of this 15 in the twinkling of an eye, it changed. And it's like if you ever have a car accident and you think, oh, I wish I'd put my seatbelt on and you try and put it on, then a little too late, once that rapture's going a little too late to do stuff. So you want to make sure, and then you want to make sure you're in church. Because I don't want to watch the rapture online. Right, right. Oh, there they go. You know. Yeah. My angel was, was at church waiting for me. But you thought, no, I just do online, you know, don't be a prosthetic. You know, it's like, be a member, be a member. This, this thumb, this thumb. I mean, even if it didn't want to be a thumb this Sunday and stay in bed, say, I don't want to go to, I don't want to go to church. Well, it's got no choice because the whole body's going to go and it might want to stay in bed. I says, I'm sleepy. Leave me alone. You're coming to church. Thumb. And, and we move as one and we move and this, this church is going to explode. There is no doubt about it. I mean, you are part of the solid foundation of something enormous. Coming to California without any doubt at all. God is going to build a very solid church in this place. I know, I know Joe. And he's, he's a, he's a true disciple maker, you know, so you're gonna, you're gonna find yourself in some really interesting Moments. Amen. In this, in this church. But you'll be solid. You'll have. You'll have a straight path to walk and you won't, you won't mess up. We better, we better get preaching because he wants me finished in five minutes, so. Okay. 2 Corinthians 3, 17. I thought I'd talk about freedom. It's. It's freedom weekend right now. The spirit of the Lord is the Spirit. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. So the Holy Spirit is all about freedom. He's about, I want to set you free. And one of the most beautiful things that I've experienced as a pastor over 55 years is watching people get set free. Like, I don't know how. This weekend, thousands and thousands of people are going to Receive Jesus in C3 churches all around the world. And I've. I don't know how many I've led to. Christ see them come down the altar and they stand there and ask Jesus to come into their life. Now, look, I gotta tell you, sometimes those people, oh my God, they look a mess. You know, like you get some poor old soul that's just been through everything and you don't say the word ugly, but it comes to mind. You know, you think, my God, how could your world have gotten so bad? Within weeks, they're like glowing, they're transformed, absolutely transform. If they get genuinely born again, you know, I like it. Not just do some ritual, but actually the Holy Spirit regenerates them. And when you get regenerated, you get regenerated, you get a new set of genes. Baby, I'm not talking about Levi's. I'm talking about, you know, your genetic structure. You're now the Father's son, the Father's daughter. So you've got the genetics of God in heaven. Don't be saying, oh, my father died of cancer. I'm probably, you know. No, this father's never had cancer. I mean, he's. He's not dead, he's not even sick. This God is alive with eternal life. So the Holy Spirit, he's a spirit of liberty. You know, the Holy Ghost is, is there. If people are free, people are set free. You can come into this church and you can feel like, wow, it's kind of free. That's the Holy Spirit. You go to a place where you tiptoe in, nobody says hello to you. If you're kind of bound, nervous, that's because the Holy Ghost isn't there. The Holy Ghost is a spirit of freedom. And then Jesus, one of his main purposes was to set people free. Okay? So John 8:31 said to those Jews who believed in him, if you abide in my word, you are my disciples indeed, and you will know the truth. So stand in the Word of God, and the truth will make you free. Now, that's quoted all the time in movies and, like, the truth will make you free, but the previous part is omitted. It's not there. Look, you got to stay in the Word, and the Word will give you the truth, and that truth will set you free. Just like when people say, oh, what's your truth? Well, you can't have your own truth. Truth is truth. We all breathe air, right? That's reality, people. And so accepting what is a reality that is eternal is getting our minds on the true north of this Word of God. You'll know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:36. Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. How good is that? Because so far I've been saying, set you free, but what does he say here? Makes you free. Now, there's a difference between getting set free and being made free. I've seen that. I've seen. I mean, I cast demons out of people, and they get set free. Whoa. Within a week, they're bound again because they didn't get rid of the rubbish in their world. And I got to tell you, rats feed on rubbish. They come back, and they want to come back because they feel like they own that temple, that body, and they want to get back in. But unless we actually repent and get rid of the stuff that they were feeding on, we just get all bound up again, and sometimes worse than it was before. So it's important that deliverance and freedom is a process, not just a moment. So he wants to make you free. Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you'll be free indeed. Okay. What you doing, Peter? Yeah. Okay, we'll watch you. Because it's always more interesting to watch the guy doing something. All right, so. So here's the thing. I'll tell you a little story about. Remember the days when. I don't know if it's different here in America, but certainly changed in Australia, circuses used to have elephants, and that was the fun part, but they took them away. And now you've got Shetland ponies, which are just like rats that look like horses. That's about it. But in the days when they used to have actual elephants at the circus, when they got a new young elephant, they would put it out there. During the week and bring it out at night for the event. But they'd put it there and they'd put a pole in the ground with a chain from the pole to its leg, its front leg, so it would go and couldn't get away. So they do that for about a year, but then they found they actually didn't need to put the chain there anymore, just put the post down. Elephant. Look at the post, think I can't move. The chain was in his brain. It's not actually there anymore. And so freedom for a believer is a transforming thought pattern that you are not that anymore. You are no longer that person anymore. And the only way that you are going to reprogram yourself is with this. Your tongue. Your tongue is your keyboard. Your brain is the computer. And what you say, your brain believes. I mean, honestly, your brain, it's got no idea what truth is, no idea what you tell believes. And so if you're telling it, I'm chained. I'm chained. I'm chained to my past, I'm chained to my family. I'm chained to all the stuff that I've had. If you're telling yourself that, thinking that that's going to be the reality, but you can take the word of God and say, if the sun sets me free, I am free indeed. And I'll know the truth. And the truth makes me free. I am a. I'm a free woman. I'm free as free can be. Jesus sets me free and makes me free. You know, there's. I'm non American, okay, at this point, but I, you know, I think if you look deep inside, you might find an American flag in there. The deal is, though, I hope I can say this story delicately enough without any, you know, challenges. But when Abraham Lincoln managed to emancipate so many people from slavery, which was a beautiful thing, the slave owners kept their slaves from ever reading or writing, kept them uneducated so they wouldn't learn to know that they were free. Because once they read it, say, I'm free, I can walk out of here. So when we are ignorant of what God has done for us, we're going to miss what he's got for us. In fact, Hosea the prophet, he said, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. And knowing is different from just knowledge and information. Knowing is a revelation. So when you know, I'm free, you can actually find the power to say no. And for me, honestly, freedom, the greatest, the greatest freedom I've got is the power to say no, not to do Whatever I want, that's not free. I mean, a lot of people think, you know, I do. Freedom is the power to do whatever I want. Will you go ahead and do whatever you want? And you're going to find yourself enslaved to those very things that you wanted to do, and now they got you. But actually, freedom is the power to say, no, I'm not going to do that. And no, I'm not going to be manipulated. I'm not going to be bullied. That bully in your head. For sincere Christians, it's a real problem because it condemns them about everything they do, makes them second guess. Oh, is this the will of God? That's not the Holy Ghost. He did not. You did not receive a spirit of bondage. You get into fear. God gave you a sound mind, baby. Use it. You've not got the spirit of fear and timidity and withdrawness. That's another amazing thing that happens when I see people who are timid and nervous and afraid in life. Like, we had a pastor join us in New Zealand and his wife, and they were just beaten up. They. They were, they were just horrifically beaten up within their church, their board and everything else. And they just kind of came along to our conference and said, I think we could. We could do okay here. So they signed up and. And I came back one year later to do. Do our national conference there and, and I met this couple. I said, hi, how are you? You new here? They said, you know us. I said, I don't know you. And they said, no. And they would transform. She was like, oh, I'm so happy to see you. The last time I saw, her head was down and she was shaky. And all of this, when you're in the presence of God and of the Holy Spirit, he'll restore you to confidence. When you get confident people, you are going to hit the jackpot. That's better than winning the lottery when you get confidence in your soul. So. So, like, when I first started pastoring, I found myself nervous in amongst people. Like, I can be easily reclusive just out in nowhere land on my own, and I'm pretty happy. But suddenly God's calling me to be amongst all these people, and I'm shaking hands. And after a while, I get that moment where you're peopled out. You ever get that? I don't know how long your fuse is, but mine's growing. It's growing a lot longer. You know, I'll be leaving soon, but it's growing a lot longer. I can cope. But everybody has that click out moment. That's okay. And, and, and I. I found, though I didn't even want to go in the room. My hands would get sweaty, my palms would get sweaty. Oh, you know, hi, how are you? And, you know, to make all that. That horrible little small talk stuff, you know, how you doing? Yeah, lucky. I go, like, I don't want to do this. This pastor was. But I thought, man, you know what? For me to be a pastor, I'm going to have to, because it's about people. So I started reading the first two chapters of the book of Ephesians, and I read them for six months. Because Ephesians is the New Testament. Joshua, it's possessing your promised land. And you've been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The fact that he talks about it in past tense means that you've got it. I've got it. It's in the bank. So I just got to withdraw it. How do I withdraw it? With my tongue? I said, I've got this. So I started to tell myself, Phil Pringle, you're confident, you're fearless. In fact, you're so confident, it's ridiculous. After about six months of saying that, I got to be so confident, it was ridiculous. So I know you want God to come and change you, but while you're waiting, have a go yourself, you know, get onto it. Don't be saying, oh, God, change me. Change me. Make me different. Make me patient. Just get to be patient. Just be patient. You know, like, take it on. You want joy to come in you, you got it. You got all the joy you can need down inside there. And all you got to do is learn how to laugh. I mean, honestly, I met Christians. They've been baptized in lemon juice. They are so flipping. So flipping sour, unhappy. Say, guys, lighten up. You know, I'm a deep Christian. It's a lot more serious than you think, you know? Well, joy of the Lord is my strength, people. And, yeah, joy of the Lord is my strength. So I'm gonna rejoice. You can call it shallow if you like, but maybe you should shallow up a little and, you know, let joy start to overwhelm, you know, I mean, laughter will do you good like a medicine. I know you're taking everything from, you know, whatever the big farmer's telling you, you gotta have. And it's just never ending. Never ending. What you got to have for this, gotta have that. Honestly, laughter, it's like medicine. It just releases all the good little chemicals. They Just start running through your body like a little army saying yeah, we're gonna beat you, shooting every little cell that's gonna do you bad. You got a whole little army in there just waiting to be released by you laughing. And people who laugh love. I've always found that people have got a good. I've known some of the greatest people on earth, like in terms of men and women, I've never met one without a great sense of humor. I mean they just laugh with the. And that keeps them in good shape. And you can laugh as a Christian, it's permissible. You can, it's not a prosthetic, it's a real thing. Prosthetic laugh is the worst kind of laugh. But you can start with one, you know, like if you say, well I'm not a laughy kind of person, you can get one going, you can do a hahaha. And you get a real one, you can put the bucket down, people and you're drawing out some joy from the wells of salvation that are down on the inside of you. If you drink this water, it'll become in you a fountain of life. A fountain of life. So my purpose is to create life giving churches all over the world. And happily this is one of the most life giving churches we've got. You know, if I go to any of our churches and it's kind of like death giving, I say we're putting a funeral on today, we're closing the doors. Goodbye. Because, because when you, when, when you got life like life means growth. It's a basic principle people what lives, grows. It's that simple. And so keeping life alive, the light, the river of the Holy Spirit flowing out of us keeps us into a whole world of life. Well, I've gotten through page one. I've only got 13 pages to go. So settle know. We need to know that like the Father is God is free. He's the freest person in the, in the universe. He does not have to do anything. He's free to do whatever he wants. He's God. And yet he has chosen to limit himself to his holiness. So there are, there are things he says no to as well. There's some things that I know, I know we say God can do anything, but he cannot lie. So you can put this word in your life and you will change yourself. Now, I heard about the most fascinating experiment recently where an area of a lake in Asia had turned black. There had been a murder there and they couldn't understand why when it froze, the water was black and not white. So some religious folk and scientists got together and they put two glasses of water and they thought, okay, so let's just try some stuff here. So they spoke to one glass of water, and they said, you are ugly. You are awful. I hate you. You are bad. Words like that. And then spoke to those other ones, you are beautiful. We love you. You're so nice. Like this. Then they froze them. This one's black, chaotic crystals everywhere. This one's white, with every crystal formed perfectly. So they thought, well, let's try something else. They put a label on, ugly, hate you. Dirty, unclean. Put on this one, beautiful, love you. All this same deal. Those labels you let get on you, they're going to affect your people. And so, same thing. When they froze the water. Black, chaotic cell structure. Same over here, white. So they thought, let's try something else. Let's try thinking it ugly, dirty water. And then went to this one, same deal. Now, listen to me. This is kind of important. 85% of your body is water. Spooky, huh? So you might find that when the scripture says their word eats like cancer, nobody's saying that's the cause of cancer. But maybe the words that we are listening to, that we're speaking, that we're thinking are causing this kind of plague all around the world, rather than thinking, if we could change our conversation. So you got to understand, the basic culture of conversation in the world is complaining or criticism. I mean, people don't know how to talk in any other groove. It's like you go to some people say, hey, such a nice day today. And, you know, you can feel the tractor beam. I'm going to complain. I want you to complain with me. I want you to agree. I don't like this place like this. And you can feel this. I'm getting drawn in like the starship Enterprise Track the beam, it's got me. And I go, yeah, it's a good day. I can't afford to have to have that kind of conversation going around in my head. And I mean literally, financially, cannot afford it. Because we are always so committed to starting churches. We're starting 50 churches a year around the world that doesn't cost nothing. And so if people start telling me, oh, we got a bad economy, everything's going down the drain here, you're going to start believing that. And you know what's going to happen? It's going to happen for you in your world. Or else you can think, my God will supply all my need according to his riches and glory. I'm prospering in Christ. I'm blessed. There's no curse on me. I'm going to be set free today by the power of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name. Okay, so I'm going to finish Pastor Joe on one point because I know we're past time and people have got restaurant reservations. Every year, every seven years in Israel. I mean, there are some. There are some. Actually everything about the Old Testament, I'm pretty glad we don't do anymore, you know, but. But some people kind of get a little extreme on that. They say, we're not under law anymore, we're under grace. I say, well, murder, we're okay with that now, you know, like, because if we're not under the Ten Commandments, adultery, lying, stealing. So this basic character guidelines for a narrow lifestyle that God has called us to. He hasn't called us to narrow minds, but he's called us to a narrow life, because that's where life and liberty is. So. But this kind of thing, I wish we still did it because every seven years the bank had to tear up all your debts. How good would that be? Come on, Jesus. Yeah, but do you know What? In every 50 years, any land that you had to sell because you were poor, you got it back and all your loans were torn up. You didn't owe anybody anything. So every 50 years, I mean, you get another start at life. Basically. It's like you get a born again. And when Jesus said, the spirit of God is on me because I'm anointed, set people free and to preach the year of jubilee, that was what that year was. They would blow the horn at the temple and the surrounding villages that could hear it. They'd start blowing their horn and the whole message, the sound of liberty would go out over the entire land from one village to the next. That's the sound of freedom. That's what you and I are called to do. To preach a freedom that is. That is completely complete. Like, nothing can bind you again. Sometimes we're wrestling with forces that are stronger than us. You're not going to beat the devil on your own. He's more powerful than we are, except if we're in Christ. And once you're in Jesus, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. You got a power that's greater. And so when there is an attempt to bind you, to bully you, to manipulate you, coerce you in any way, you can say no. No weapon formed against me will prosper. That says the Lord. So nice speaking to you guys. You're hungry, you're thirsty. This church is about to just go to whole new levels in Jesus name. Hey, thanks for tuning in. There's a bunch of different ways that we connect throughout the week, including Sunday mornings, and we would love to see you there. You can check out all the details@c3oc.com.
