In chapter 37 of Tanya, the Alter Rebbe teaches a profound lesson in humility. He explains that even the loftiest angel is considered entirely nullified before god, like a candle before the sun. Similarly, we too, despite our accomplishments or perceived importance, must cultivate a sense of humility, recognizing our utter dependence on a power far greater than ourselves.  This perspective allows us to approach life with a sense of gratitude, recognizing the gifts we have been given.
