For the last 18 years I've provided strong technical leadership and execution, assembling teams of engineering/business/domain experts in order to deliver products successfully. I've worked with technology start-ups, Wall Street firms and corporate clients - most recently www.epix.com, an MGM company targeting 30+ million homes with their movie distribution service.

In the educational space I teach a post-grad course focused on options trading and large-scale database programming at Columbia University (Experimental Finance, IEOR Dept.). I've held guest lecturer positions at Cornell University and performed research work with Marco Avellaneda at Courant Institute NYU, and Sasha Stoikov (Cornell University, CFEM) focussing on order book simulations. I also hold an ASA certified instructor card to teach sailing, a sport I am extremely passionate about.

In the non-profit/government sector as CIO of Rayogram I developed online campaigns, back office fundraising, billing and data management systems for several non profits including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The most recent project was a Government 2.0 initiative for the New York State Senate, designing and rolling out a big data voter information database managing almost 20 million residents in all 63 districts - the first successful upgrade since the early ‘80s.

In 2012, I took a one-year sabbatical and sailed double-handed across the North Atlantic on a 30-foot sailboat including Newfoundland, Greenland, Iceland and the Outer Hebrides. The longest passage was 35 days at sea with a 3 hours on, 3 hours off shift schedule.
