Your Fellow Human

What makes you who you are?

Today I want to introduce you to Petar, Petar is the kind of person that spending time with can change your mood, you know the kind of friend you can be around and find it hard to not be happy with, the kind that you feel will encourage you, and the kind that you know will speak up if they have something on their mind

We chat about the what it looks like to live life day by day, about the truth behind what it means to help someone and what they often really need, and how men and women share a common fear

He shares about how we can often only know one side of the story, how someone else’s experiences can impact how they impact us, and ultimately how that has no bearing on who we are as an individual

He shares about the gratitude he has for those in his life and how they have impacted who he is and the life he gets to live, what acceptance of life means to him, and how no matter what we are going through it, like everything will pass

Petar is one that I have had the honor of learning from, training with, laughing with, and calling a friend. He is someone I look up to as a human (not just cause he’s taller than me) but because of the way he carries himself, interacts with others, chooses to value honesty, who he is becoming, and values the heart of himself and others over any talent or physical accomplishment one may achieve

So tune in today and meet Petar, a man that has a depth of character and integrity worth more than any accomplishment in the sea

And to you Petar thank you, thank you for sharing your time with me, for the honor of allowing me to share a part of your story with others, for the opportunity to learn from you in and out of the water, for the fun memories, and for the treasure you are as a friend.

What is Your Fellow Human?

These interview style episodes are all about the way we as people view life, the things we love and the things that cause us pain, the way we think, hope, and fear.

We each hold a unique place in this world, complete with our own dreams, culture, and perspective. It is the individual stories of those I meet along my journey that shape the way I see the world.

I’m excited to share these stories with you and hope they allow you to fall in love with humanity as they have for me.
