वेदप्रामाण्यम्

दार्शनिकः कुमारिलभट्टः कदाचित् बौद्धदार्शनिकेन धर्मकीर्तिना पराजितः । तदा कुमारिलभट्टेन निश्चितं यत् बौद्धसिद्धान्ते तलस्पर्शि पाण्डित्यं प्राप्य एते बौद्धाः जेतव्याः इति । अग्रे सः वेदानां श्रेष्ठतां सयुक्तिकं प्रतिपाद्य बौद्धमतस्य दौर्बल्यं सप्रमाणं निरूपितवान् च । कुपिताः बौद्धाः 'यदि वेदाः प्रमाणं स्युः तर्हि पर्वतशिखरात् कूर्दनं क्रियताम्' इति वदन्ति । कुमारिलभट्टः वेदमातरं क्षणं ध्यात्वा सधैर्यम् अधः कूर्दितवान् च । अग्रे किमिति कथां श्रुत्वा जानन्तु ।

Kumarila Bhattaa, a highly learned philosopher in the field of Vedanta, was once defeated in a debate by the Buddhist philosopher Dharmakirti. After this defeat, he decided to study Buddhist philosophy thoroughly and prove its weaknesses in order to defeat it. Later, Kumarila Bhatta established the authority of the Vedas and demonstrated the flaws in the Buddhist system. The angry Buddhists mocked him, saying, "If the Vedas are truly authoritative, then jump from the peak of a mountain." सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
