[2:23] Jessica and Marsais discuss how Jessica wears her emotions on her sleeve, to the point of crying in front of some elementary schools in a hilarious incident.
[5:50] Marsais loves branding. Before she even began her career in photography, she developed professional-quality business cards. This podcast is doing the same thing with merchandise.
[8:09] Jessica owns a pilates studio and boutique and has been friends with Marsais for over a decade. She reflects on how far she and Marsais have come in their friendship.
[10:53] Marsais has four kids around the same age as Jessica’s children. She has always been an entrepreneur, and runs a successful photography business.
[14:37] Jessica and Marsais met while doing photography. While Jessica is one to snap a picture whenever she notices something beautiful, Marsais doesn’t usually pull out the camera when she is in the moment.
[17:08] Maintaining a long lasting friendship through motherhood is extremely difficult. Jessica notes that there are friendships through all seasons of life, and the ebb and flow of friendships is natural.
[20:59] Marsais believes that you can protect your energy by choosing the people you want to spend your time with. Sometimes, people who do not necessarily do anything wrong still leave us feeling drained.
[23:43] You have to learn to trust your intuition on people to guard your energy. Choosing to spend your time on yourself is a way of protecting yourself and your sanity.
