Today's episode I'm talking about how God interrupted, yet orchestrated, His plans for my son Chandler and his roommate Melvin. Question: Do we ever consider God's plans when making plans for ourselves and plan life with others, but do we ever consider God's plans for us? The Bible says, " The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." Proverbs 16:9 ESV
We know that God's plans are better than ours, but what if we are not willing to accept the plan God has laid out for us, a plan that causes loss, grief, uncertainty, or even doubt? We cannot make our plans and except God to submit to our plans. That's not how God operates; we know that if it's according to God's plan and will, it will come to pass. Some of us are not even seeking God for guidance or asking God what's the plan you have for me? The Bible says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteouness, and all these things will be added to you." Matthew
6:33 ESV
God's plan can bring grief, loss, peace, joy, healing, friendship, clarification, and reconciliation. Are you willing to contiune planning your life for yourself, or are you willing to seek God first for the plans He has for you? Chandler and Melvin didn't know they needed each other, but God did; that's how I know this was God's plan.
