Speaker 1: Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse. It had been set solidly on rock.

Speaker 2: Welcome back to Scripture for your inner outcasts. Today is June 25th, 2026, Thursday of the 12th Week in Ordinary Time. Today's guest presenter is Pam Malinoski, the integrator for Souls and Hearts.

Speaker 1: For Matthew chapter seven, verse 24 to 25. Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came and the winds blew and buffeted the house. But it did not collapse. It had been set solidly on rock. What came to mind when I reflected on this verse from today's gospel, is that interior integration helps us build our house solidly on rock. I think of that solid rock. That solid foundation is not only being grounded in God, but also grounded in truth. What does that mean for you exiles? I think many times you find yourself too burdened to be grounded in truth. Your entire world can be made up by the burdens of shame, abandonment, fear, grief, or yearning. And it can be hard to remember that those are only burdens that you carry. They are not who you are or who God meant for you to be. They are not the complete truth. And those burdens are certainly not a solid foundation. When the difficulties of life inevitably come, the rain, floods and winds of daily living. You may find yourself wondering how you can take on any more. You may see your protectors trying desperately to protect you from the rains of sorrow, the floods of addiction, the winds of criticism in the only ways they know how.

Speaker 1: Working in their narrow silos with limited vision. Your protectors cannot see the entire picture either. So they do not have the whole truth. And as a result, they fail to be grounded. And sometimes that can mean the collapse of your entire system. So how do you become set solidly on rock? The gospel today seems to indicate it's as easy as listening and acting on the Word of God. Yet when you're struggling with a skewed, incomplete vision of reality at the human level, it can be very difficult to make that jump to the spiritual level, to take and apply all that God wants to give us in His Word. Grace needs to build on nature. When you and your protectors are in a stable, integrated place grounded in the truth of being a beloved child of God. Only then can God's words sink in, take root, and bring forth the fruits he intends for each one of you. When you trust your innermost self to lead and guide your system, you can begin releasing those burdens. You can find a better, healthier role that works in concert with those other parts of you. And together, that interior integration helps set your foundation on the truth of who you are a beloved son or daughter of God.
