It's A Way Of Life

What a week. On tonight's Its A Way Of Life on Radio Mix a celebration of Motown and Northern Soul. I was honored to get behind the decks At Darcie's Motown Bar in Benelmadena on the Costa Del Sol Spain this week and had a brilliant time playing some of the songs you will hear tonight. Music from Shirley Ellis, Marv Johnson, Freddie Chavez, Jr Walker and many more.
On top of this have two tracks from The Manics. They hail from Norrköping, Sweden, and have been going since 2010.
They produce an upright, uncompromising and honest guitar based
sound with lots of melody and energy, 60's beat and garage can be heard mixed with a tinge of 70's punk. Check out their Facebook and You Tube channel as well as the usual download sites to hear more.

What is It's A Way Of Life?

Steve Goodey presents 'It's A Way Of Life', a look at the Mod scene of the 60's and 80's, covering a wide range of musical styles and genres, with Rhythm and Blues, Motown, Ska, Reggae, and Northern Soul amongst others.
