In this wild Part 2 trailer, Troy joins Chrissy and Paul to talk about the songs every working musician eventually gets sick of playing, the strange attraction some women have to men in bands, legendary Muscle Shoals musicians and one unforgettable night at an ABATE biker event.
Troy explains why he now turns down most requests to play cover songs, even though he once loved tearing through classics like “Radar Love.” He also reveals the cover song that became so overplayed his band eventually demanded $100 just to perform it: “Mustang Sally.”
The conversation then shifts to the legendary Muscle Shoals Swampers, the session musicians behind countless famous recordings. Troy discusses bassist David Hood and the incredible group of musicians whose work can be heard on records connected to artists including Bob Seger, Rod Stewart and Willie Nelson.
Then things go completely off the rails.
Chrissy asks Troy about the strange phenomenon of women being instantly attracted to musicians simply because they are standing onstage with a band.
