पूर्वं कश्चन राजा कस्यचन संन्यासिनः समीपं गत्वा 'उत्कृष्टं तत्त्वं किञ्चन उपदिश्यताम्' इति प्रार्थितवान् । 'अपेक्षिता योग्यता नास्ति इदानीं भवतः' इति संन्यासिना उक्तम् । खिन्नः राजा स्वभवनं गत्वा कोपेन मन्त्रिणम् अवदत् 'एकः पण्डितः, सः संन्यासी च अनीयेताम्' इति । यदा तौ आगतवन्तौ तदा राजा अवदत् यत् अहं पण्डितस्य मुखात् उपदेशं प्राप्स्यामि इति । तदा संन्यासी क्षणमात्रेण एव भवतः योग्यतापरीक्षणं भवितुमर्हति इति उक्त्वा तस्य परीक्षणं करिष्यति । महाराजः स्वस्य दोषं ज्ञात्वा क्षमाम् अयाचत । (“केन्द्रीयसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य अष्टादशीयोजनान्तर्गततया एतासां कथानां ध्वनिप्रक्षेपणं क्रियते”)

Once, a king approached a renunciate and requested, “Please teach me a supreme principle.” The renunciate replied, “You are not yet qualified.” Saddened, the king returned to his palace and angrily ordered his minister to bring both a scholar and the renunciate. When they arrived, the king declared that he would receive instruction from the scholar. The renunciate then said, “First, your eligibility must be tested.” In a moment, he examined the king, who realized his own fault and humbly sought forgiveness.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
