In today’s episode of Latent Treasures, we open up part one of our interview with Kim Winston Bigler. She will get you very excited and pumped up as she shares her passion for foster children but will likely also get you reaching for a tissue now and then too.
We at B the Church have had foster advocacy and support at the top of our priority list since day one and it’s the #1 need we are looking to address as we develop our ranch.
When i met Kim long ago, she added fuel to my already blazing fire for these kids. I have no doubt most of you will feel the same way by the time you finish the interview we share with her.
Kim had never intended to become a hero to the foster community - and probably still doesn’t think of herself in that light, but like so many of our guests, she’s let God lead her steps and we can’t wait to let you hear her amazing story. She founded James Storehouse about 8 years ago and has since let it evolve into James Samaritan, now located in Louisiana where she grew up.
I adore this woman’s passion and I know you will too. She has a contagious spirit of hope and healing for this neglected community and we invite you to get to know her better now!

CHEYENNE’S APPLIED ARTWORK IS STRONGLY INFLUENCED BY HER BACKGROUND AS A FORMER FOSTER YOUTH, EMOTION, COLOR, AND DESIGN PRINCIPLES. HER FINE ARTWORK RESONATES MORE WITH HER PERSONAL INNER TURMOIL AS A FORMER FOSTER YOUTH. SHE SEEKS TO BRING TO LIGHT AND MAKE AN EMPATHETIC CONNECTION WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT THE GROWING STRUGGLE OF OVER 500,000 YOUTH IN AMERICA THROUGH HER FINE ARTWORK. HER FREQUENT VOLUNTEER WORK FOR A NON-PROFIT THAT SPECIALIZES IN HELPING FOSTER YOUTH LETS HER TEACH OTHER YOUTH ABOUT USING ART AS A FORM OF HEALING AND EXPRESSION OF THEIR TRAUMA. Kimberly founded James Storehouse in the Los Angeles area where it quickly grew into a true force for good in serving the needs of the Foster Community. She has since moved back to her home state of Louisiana where that passion project continues though now it is known as James Samaritan. Her story is truly a miracle of God's graces and you'll be massively blessed to hear her tell it.
