Reading 2 Samuel Chapter 5

David is finally acknowledged as king by all of the people of Israel. He defeats the Jebusites who have been successfully defending Jerusalem from Israel up until this point. Hiram, king of Tyre shows up on the scene. More of David's children are listed. And we are told of two more battles with the Philistines, one of which involves the sound of marching in the tree tops.
