Joplin ToadCast

Hello, and welcome to the Joplin Toadcast! This podcast is brought to you by the Joplin Toad. The toad is a multimedia platform which celebrates the art, culture, and humor of the city of Joplin, Missouri. We’re here to share Joplin’s creativity with the world.

In this episode, our host Mark N. interviews abstract painter, Lori Marble. Lori, who experiences a condition known as dystonia, talks about recovering from a traumatic incident and brain surgery, by teaching herself how to paint left-handed. The resulting creative journey has led to an established presence in the local art world, and a lot of lessons about consistency, creating art for yourself, and overcoming imposter syndrome.

We always hope to give you some new inspiration with each new artist interview; please enjoy and pass on to a creative friend!
