Remus had tried to make a quick dash inside to get the remote and was instantly thwarted by a swarm of bees, though he did manage to blow the candle out before it could possibly burn his house down or attract even more of them, and he’d strongly considered pulling the plug out out and hiding the cursed thing beneath a bush. The second his hands had gone to his waistband, though, he’d realized that the nosy woman next door was staring at him through the window, at which point he’d abandoned the idea completely.
The last thing he needs is a public indecency charge for getting caught with his pants down and a bejeweled plug sticking out of his arse.
