Collisions YYC

In this episode, Koleya returns to the show to detail how falling in love with her customers’ issues has helped her clean energy company, Absolute Combustion, innovate and address the real issues her target customers experience, rather than simply providing the solution she thought they required. A committed internal advocate and a cooperative relationship are two critical elements to success, according to Koleya. As a seasoned entrepreneur, Koleya provides advice on where to focus your efforts to develop your billion-dollar idea.

Show Notes

As a clean tech entrepreneur, Koleya found it difficult to get her business off the ground in 2005. Many established companies were unwilling to take a chance on her vision of lower emissions and increased safety, dismissing it as “not their problem.” However, Koleya persevered and began collaborating with her customers as an innovator. This allowed her to not only increase technology adoption, but also create better solutions to the problems faced by industries such as energy, agriculture, healthcare, logistics and supply chain management.
