Lenten Recovery Challenge

CIR Reflection for Monday of the Fourth Week of Lent

What is Lenten Recovery Challenge?

Detach from addiction and attach to God’s freedom by completing the CIR Lenten Challenge Recovery Journey. This Recovery Journey invites you to grow closer to Jesus Christ and renew your commitment to recovery, whether you’re brand new or have been in recovery for several decades. Each module will encourage you to attend a recovery meeting, meditate on the daily CIR reflections, and practice certain daily habits to find or maintain your recovery over this season of Lent.

This Recovery Journey begins this year on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026. A new module will be unlocked every day during Lent, which will include:
Daily Mass and Saint of the Day reflections: Reflections offers a meditation from a Catholic in Recovery member as well as questions to prompt deeper engagement—all through a recovery perspective.
Week’s Commitment to Action: A commitment to action to deepen your recovery and faith. You’ll be encouraged to adopt a new daily commitment each week to stack on your current commitments and help you build long-lasting healthy habits.
Link to Catholic in Recovery Meetings: A link to every Catholic in Recovery meeting offered virtually that day so that you can find and attend a meeting that fits your schedule. While we encourage you to attend a Catholic in Recovery meeting, any recovery-based meeting will count.

We’ll also share videos of encouragement, hope, and inspiration from different members of our CIR community as you work through this Recovery Journey over Lent.
