She was then adopted into a Jehovah's Witnesses household and she went knocking on doors spreading the Word, but she felt trapped by all the regimentation. What did TM do for her? “What TM did for me,” she says, “was it took all the tools that I had, like therapy, books, my love of nature, and put it all together. Set it on a course of easy, relaxed thinking.” Now she is a published author and a stand-up comedian, and she doesn’t get butterflies before a show any more. And TM fills her with creativity. So what about the trauma? Ancient history for her now.
