In this episode, we listen to Jaime Ascencio, Co-founder and CEO of Reefy. Growing up in Mexico, Jaime spent countless hours diving and witnessed the gradual deterioration of marine ecosystems firsthand. Determined to be part of the solution, he moved to the Netherlands as an international student to study at TU Delft, where he co-founded Reefy - a company creating artificial reefs that protect coastlines while restoring and enhancing underwater ecosystems.

After founding the branding agency Studio Buffalo in 2004, Armijn expanded his craft into UX design and previously led his own communication agency. Currently, he works as a Creative Facilitator and Concept Developer, and part-time as a Marketing Lead at Up!Rotterdam, where he combines strategy, storytelling, and design to create impactful communication. For Armijn, communication isn’t just a profession, it’s a passion.
