Infants on Thrones

Glenn Ostlund's Psychology Today Profile

What happens when imagination becomes a doorway into a different way of seeing yourself?

In this episode of Infants on Thrones, Quad—Glenn’s imaginary companion from the original Bathing with God—reaches out to Solivia, a newly imagined expression of one person’s deeper values, self-trust, compassion, courage, boundaries, and presence.

What begins as a playful conversation between two “imaginary” beings becomes an exploration of something very human: the stories our minds create, the intelligence of the nervous system, the fear that pulls us away from the present, and the possibility that the person we are trying so hard to become may already be present underneath the noise.

This is an experiment in imagination, perspective, and listening inward—not to find a perfect or authoritative Higher Self, but to become curious about what new choices might become available when we give another part of ourselves a voice.
