Show Notes

In this episode
  • Born in Vermont, and raised in North Carolina, it's not a common move to be focused on the Middle East from the Souther US.
  • She remembers as a 13 year old girl at a conference feeling moved and called to work as a missionary.
  • As a 26 years old single female she has gotten a wide variety of reactions for her decision to move to the Middle East as a missionary.
  • Why the Middle East? For Hailey it started after the events of nine eleven.
  • Today we are enjoying an Ethiopian coffee with a natural process.
  • A lot of people today are facing burnout. We ask Hailey if she has ever felt anything like that and what she put into place to overcome. For her is boils down to learning when to say "no."
  • If you say yes to something you are saying no to something else.
  • Hailey shares stories about her failures and how they helped shaped her into the woman she is today.

What is Sips & Stories?

Very few things excite us more than when someone tells us how they’re pursuing their dream. Except maybe opening a bag of an exotic new specialty coffee. We are suckers for a good dream and a good cup of coffee. Welcome to Sips & Stories Podcast. We’re combining two of our favorite things to talk with ordinary people in pursuit of a dream - and doing it really, really well.

Along the way, our hope is to share stories that will impart wisdom, encouragement, and break down boxes we often find ourselves in.

We hope you’ll join us for some sipping and listening.
