David is anointed King but he's on the run!

We see David’s heroic rise in Saul’s court and falling as his hated enemy. Then we see David’s rise to prominence as the fugitive until the death of Saul. David flees from Saul’s court but is shielded by God’s protection. And finally, David's departure after affirming his covenant with Jonathan. This is the early phase of David as a fugitive, travelling to Nob and Gath.
