2023 Classic Weekend Recap I - Danzer Classic Winnerview, Gosek Talks Future

Welcome to episode 127 of the Inside Groove Supermodified Podcast, brought to you by Steering Wheel Nation.

The 67th Annual Budweiser Classic Weekend  at the Oswego Speedway had lots of twists and turns, and host Tom Baker begins unpacking all that went into the weekend with the first Classic Recap show.  Dave Danzer got his first ever win in the 200-lap Supermodified Classic, and Tom caught up with him after the race was over for a "winnerview" presented on this show.

Joe Gosek is as old as the race itself - 67, and began competing in it back in 1980.  Speculation before the race centered around whether or not the former Indy 500 competitor would retire after the race, and Tom got Joe to answer the question...sort of.  Hear that interview in this show as well.

What's In A Number?  Well, the Number 27 contains some interesting history at the Oswego Speedway in supermodified racing, and Tom gets to the bottom of at least most of that in this episode.
