Episode seven of The Cool Down reflects on a hugely successful weekend for Jersey sport, with Sports Reporters Archie Corbett and Elliot Corbel breaking down an unbeaten inter-insular showing against Guernsey.
Hockey takes centre stage as Jersey retain “The Big Stick” after going unbeaten across all six fixtures. We discuss the standout performances, including Robbie Forrest’s goal in the men’s 1st team 2-0 win, the dominance of the men’s 3s in their 8-0 victory, and how the women’s sides once again delivered across the board.
In football, attention turns to the Under-21 Muratti, where Jersey secured a convincing 5-2 win in Guernsey, while the Jersey Bulls were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw away at Erith Town – although results elsewhere mean their play-off push remains on track. We also touch on a big win for the Bulls Women and round up the key action from across the local leagues and cup competitions.
There’s also a look at the Junior Star Series success for Jersey’s youngsters, as well as a brief – and important – discussion on the White Collar Darts showdown between the 2024 and 2026 teams.
All that, plus this week’s Fixture Forecast result, as Elliot edges Archie 35-32.
