Flyover Film Country embarks on its first filmography mini series: the movies of director Jeff Nichols! A Little Rock native, Nichols and his small team filmed Shotgun Stories in southeast Arkansas around Keo, Scott and England in 2006. According to Nichols, Michael Shannon was always the actor in mind to play Son Hayes. Weeks after Nichols cold-called the actor to share his vision for the film, an impressed Shannon read the script and joined the cast.
