Should Baptism Be Our Goal?

In this episode of Beyond Sunday, we continue through Colossians by discussing Paul’s warning about “philosophy and empty deceit” and how ideas that sound convincing can quietly shape the way we think and live. We consider some of the competing philosophies Christians encounter today, how to recognize when we're building our lives on something other than Christ, and why Jesus is ultimately sufficient. We also discuss the SBC’s renewed emphasis on evangelism and baptism growth and what healthy ambition for reaching people with the gospel should look like in the local church.
