Kasra Dash: So if you are a roofing company and you want to generate a consistent flow of inquiries every single day for your roofing company, this video is for you. Myself and James are going to be breaking down all of the different strategies that successful roofing companies use today to consistently grow their roofing business. James, take it away. James Dooley: Step number one. What I would be looking to do to grow is a Google Business Profile. If you already have one, I would be reaching out to all my existing clients to get as many five star reviews as possible. It is a great way for Google Business Profile to generate more leads. There is getting citations, posting regularly and uploading photos on your listing. That is definitely step one for generating local leads. Kasra Dash: Step number two. This bolsters your actual Google Business Profile. I would be creating dedicated service pages for each of your individual services as SEO optimised pages on your website. The moment you do that, it helps rank your SEO page. There is also a much higher chance of your Google Business Profile showing up for those keywords as well, which means more phone calls coming in. James Dooley: If you want more local leads, another option is PPC lead generation. That is pay per click within Google or Bing. You target bottom of the funnel keywords that generate inquiries. The difficult part is picking a good PPC agency because there is click fraud. You also need a negative keyword list to avoid wasting money on irrelevant searches like job applications. PPC works but in the wrong hands you will burn cash. Kasra Dash: After that you have meta ads on Facebook and Instagram. When someone scrolls, your ad can appear. You can use lead forms where they never leave Facebook. Quality might be low but you can add questions to filter better. Or you can use conversion ads that send traffic to your website where they fill out a contact form. So you have two routes. James Dooley: Another way to grow local leads is organic social media. Posting regularly on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram. Reddit and Quora are strong as well if people ask questions that you can answer. Organic social is a solid way to generate local leads. Kasra Dash: Organic social is a volume game. You need consistency. Whether you choose a daily or weekly schedule, stick to it. Upload five videos a week for example. Platforms like YouTube and Twitter reward consistency. James Dooley: What is your view on using AI agents? Some companies team up with someone who can use tools like N8N to automate and schedule posts across socials. Do you back using AI to leverage more leads? It is the big trend at the moment. Would you get an AI consultant to set that up? Kasra Dash: You can definitely use AI agents to crop videos and auto publish on YouTube, Facebook or Twitter. But another big thing is AI search. People are slowly shifting from Google. Not everyone because billions still use Google but more searchers are now on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Grok. If your brand is not appearing there, you will struggle to generate leads from those search engines. That is a major focus area for companies. James Dooley: If you want more local business leads, another strategy is joining tradespeople websites. You have Checkatrade, Bark, Builder Builder, TrustATrader, Rated People. All of these platforms can generate local leads. You must track KPIs. Measure cost per lead, cost per acquisition and the return on investment. These platforms can work well. Check our videos comparing Checkatrade with FatRank, Bark with FatRank, Rated People with FatRank, Builder Builder with FatRank. Kasra Dash: What are your thoughts on lead generation companies versus tradespeople platforms? James Dooley: If you use a lead generation company, you must do due diligence. Make certain they have experience generating leads in your niche. Have a strategy call with them and share your budget and target lead volume. Ensure their KPIs align with yours. Ask if leads are exclusive or shared because companies like Bark and Checkatrade usually send shared leads. When we speak to business owners, that is one of their biggest complaints. Shared leads turn into a race to the bottom on price. Kasra Dash: For anyone wanting local leads, head to fatrank.com. We run a commission based lead generation service. You only pay a finder’s fee on converted jobs. You do not pay for the lead. You only pay when the job is completed and you have been paid. That is when you pay FatRank. Go to fatrank.com to see if you qualify. I want to expand further. What is your view on inbound versus outbound lead generation? James Dooley: I always prefer inbound. The conversion rate is far higher. The last stat I saw was 16.1 percent conversion into a paying customer for inbound. Outbound was 1.4 percent. That is a ten to twelve times difference. Outbound needs huge volume whether it is cold calling, cold email or LinkedIn outreach. You often need a bigger sales team. People think outbound is free but it is not. Email platforms cost money. Staff cost money. Inbound is always better. Kasra Dash: What about real time leads? People ask whether real time makes a difference. James Dooley: It makes a huge difference. The last stat we saw internally was a 63 percent higher conversion rate when the lead is real time. Speed to lead is critical. We used to think five minutes was good. Responding within sixty seconds increases conversion dramatically. Call them back or email straight away to gather more information. Kasra Dash: Not every company can hit under sixty seconds. But when we partner with companies, response time is a major reason some companies fail. Some business owners go away for five days with no one picking up leads. We still deliver leads but no one responds. Those nuances matter. The best thing you can do to scale and get consistent high quality roofing leads is fill out the form at FatRank. The team will tell you if you are the right fit or not and explain your next steps. James Dooley: We hope you like the strategies to generate roofing leads. There are many types of roofing leads. Roofing repairs, roofing maintenance, retiling, flat roofing. Head to fatrank.com. We work with many roofing companies and hopefully can work with you.
