Craig MacTavish
CRAIGCraig MacTavish is a Canadian professional ice hockey executive and former player. Craig played center for 17 seasons in the
National Hockey League with the
Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers,
New York Rangers,
Philadelphia Flyers and
St. Louis Blues. Craig won the Stanley Cup four times and was the last
NHL player not to wear a helmet during games. Craig coached the
Oilers from 2000 to 2009 and was an assistant coach with the
Rangers and the
Oilers. Craig last coached
Team Canada at the 2019
Spengler Cup. Several years ago Craig was told that had a cancer that starts in the lymphocytes, white blood cells that form part of the body's immune system. MacT continues to live life to the fullest and just wrapped up a one year term as an assistant coach with the
St. Louis Blues.
BRYN and DAVEJust a couple of sportscasters from Canada who’ve dealt with cancer, beaten it back and now push forward living the best life possible. They can’t say it’s been easy, because it hasn’t been. But they’ve kept a great attitude and now continue to surge along doing things they love- including talking about sports.
Bryn lost his whole stomach to cancer while Dave dealt with throat cancer. But here they are… both trying to do something positive, to shine a light on the sports people who’ve taken on cancer, getting right back to a regular lifestyle.

WHY THIS PODCAST?We recognize not every cancer story has a happy ending, but the goal of the podcast is to highlight the inspiring stories of athletes, sports executives and media personalities who have faced and beaten cancer, or are continuing the fight. We believe that by sharing these stories, we can provide hope and inspiration to those who have been affected by this disease.
