They had "no phones, no lights, no motorcars,” and everyday life for the 1st century believer could not have been more different than what we experience today. And, yet, the challenges to their faith are strikingly similar. Who is Jesus? Why did He come? What does it mean to know God and follow Christ? How do we know what’s true and balance that with the call to love? Scripture has our answers and according to God’s own words, we will find Him when we seek Him with all our hearts. His Spirit is present to guide us in all truth. If it matches with His word and His spirit and affirms the supremacy of Jesus, we can trust it and we’re called to live it.
