Show Notes
Welcome to today's YouTube For Realtors WALK AND TALK #41 - I have so many things going through my head every day about YouTube for Realtors that I just want to get it all out! I get asked so many questions everyday and coach so many agents it's time to answer all of those in depth, on my walk to the gym!
In todays episode I do a deep dive into Story Telling Mastery to Become a Better YouTuber. Is storytelling something that you really want to do and you don't even know how to start telling stories? And why I found out the storytelling throughout my videos helps me to attract not only more clients, but my ideal client. And ultimately, it also helps out with your average view duration. Storytelling is important and we're going to do a whole walk and talk today discussing how it took me so long to discover how to story tell and how you can do your own stories.
I've had a couple of moments in my YouTube career those moments when you know things work and you're kind of headed down the right path. Now obviously there was so many misleading paths that I took at the beginning that had me doing a lot of things, it really hurt my YouTube channel at the end of the day. And when I finally got over the hump of trying to be somebody that I wasn't. Isn't it crazy how much we will change the tone of our voice and our mannerisms? To emulate something that we saw. I remember at the beginning I would watch these real estate videos and these Realtors would do these stuff in the videos. I tried to like emulate it. And thhe first aspect of my storytelling that I had no idea I was going that direction today. I forgot about the whole escrow thing, but. It leads right into my story.
My story is shorts and T shirt guy. And believe it or not one of the stories that I tell a lot especially in my Idaho videos and my Texas videos.
When I'm talking about certain areas in Idaho, where In fact, I used to be a journeyman lineman for about 10 years, so I've been in everybody's backyard. So in that little one minute blurb I gave you about three different stories that tells you exactly who I am. And in that one minute blurp I get dozens of reach outs. I still have a lot of stories from my childhood, from where I started and from what is my daily routine now. You don't need to missed this, just listen and while I walk and talk homies!!

The Channel Junkies Podcast is for real estate agents who are already on YouTube and want the channel to finally behave like a business, not a second job. Each week, we show you how to turn your “Living In [City]” channel into a predictable relocation lead machine that feeds your pipeline whether you’re filming or not.
Hosted by Jackson Wilkey and Jesse Dau, founders of Channel Junkies, you’ll get tactical breakdowns on video hooks and titles, first‑30‑seconds retention, thumbnails, upload cadence, and analytics that actually matter. We go deep on the back end too: speed‑to‑lead, follow‑up SOPs, show‑rate fixes, and simple systems so you stop dropping YouTube leads on the floor and start closing more buyers and sellers.
No fluff, no generic “social media tips.” Just real case studies, hot‑seat audits, and step‑by‑step playbooks from agents doing 6–7 figures in GCI from their channels. New episodes weekly.
