Description: In this educational episode, Naman Julka-Anderson and Jo McNamara sit down with Dr. Riccardo Bevilacqua, a nuclear physicist with a PhD focused on neutron data for Generation IV nuclear reactors, Riccardo has worked as a scientist with the European Commission and at various international research facilities. His career has evolved from research to radiation safety, and now back to his roots in medical physics, a field that first captured his interest as a student in Italy. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Riccardo currently drives global radiation safety initiatives at Elekta. Beyond work, Riccardo is a father, a stepfather, and enjoys writing popular science articles about physics and radiation.
