Beyond Markets

In this episode of the week in markets, Richard Tang, Head of Research Hong Kong at Julius Baer, talks about the latest developments in the US and the Chinese markets, where he saw sentiment swinging from one end to another without significant changes in the fundamentals. He suggests investors to focus on the big picture, where US remains to be the core asset while the trade in China will likely extend for a few more months.  He also recommends Asia telecom stocks to income investors given their dividends and defensiveness.  Lastly, regarding the Adani Group saga in India, he argues the stress should be reasonably well contained and that should not develop into a systemic issue.  Julius Baer maintains its overweight on the India market.
