Course Lab: Lessons from Successful Online Course Creators

Co-host Danny Iny introduces To Lead Is Human, a new show in the Mirasee FM podcast network, hosted by Sharon Richmond. In this bonus episode, Dart Lindsley shares his progressive and very human ideas about his role as a leader in a major corporation.

Show Notes

Welcome to To Lead Is Human. This new show, hosted by executive business coach Sharon Richmond, helps listeners envision how they can uplevel their leadership and shape cultures of accountability, respect, and candor.

“And so one of my deepest values is to respect the deep dimensionality of every human in that you have to take every human as a unique instance of an entire world.”  – Dart Lindsley

Dart Lindsley leads Global Process Excellence for People Operations at Google. Before joining Google, Dart led the Human Resources Transformation Planning and Analysis organization for Cisco Systems.

Dart founded the Business architecture and Employee Experience Design teams at Cisco. By focusing these two very different disciplines on questions of talent, Dart and his team came to an important insight:  employees are not just inputs to production as they are usually framed, they are customers, and work is a product companies sell to them.

Ever since, Dart has been using tools from marketing and product design to delve into what people really want from work (spoiler alert - it's not what you think), and ways in which companies can build and deliver an extraordinary work-experience product.

For more than 30 years, Sharon Richmond has partnered with C-level executives from mid-size and small, fast-growing companies who want to up-level their leadership and build companies they are proud of. Clients accelerate their leadership by embracing mindset and behavior changes, building self-awareness and self-management skills, and focusing on the three things all leaders must ensure: focus, energy and delivery.

Sharon’s purpose as an executive coach is to help leaders 10X their impact by leveraging the power afforded by their roles to build organizations that are forces for good, both economically and socially. She also advises CEOs on shaping organization culture and leading change.

Sharon has taught leadership at Stanford GSB, where she now helps leaders increase influence, manage conflict, and prepare to build high-performing teams.

What is Course Lab: Lessons from Successful Online Course Creators?

Want to create a hugely successful online course, one that has a major impact on the lives of your students? If you want to learn how to create online courses from the best, you turn to Mirasee; and if you want to host that course, you can’t go wrong using the powerful platform, Ruzuku.

Ruzuku co-founder Abe Crystal and Mirasee founder and CEO Danny Iny know what it takes to stand out and be successful in the online courses industry. And now they’re teaming up to share this intel with you in their new Course Lab podcast.

In every episode, Course Lab showcases an entrepreneur/course creator who is nailing it with their online course -- and not because they’re teaching people how to make more money. In fact, most of these creators occupy unusual or overlooked niches, like music, writing for video games, overcoming inherent bias, and finding your life purpose.

Turns out, the key to their success all comes down to their online course design. In this podcast, Danny and Abe reveal the most important design tactics that are making all the difference for these online course creators -- and how you can implement them in your own online course. So if you want to create a successful online course that changes the lives of your students, this is your big chance to learn how it’s done from the best in the industry!
