Today we push forward in our study of Paul’s letter to the Galatians, discovering more truths that shape our identity. As we live in the freedom of the Gospel, we see that the law is powerless. With Jesus sacrifice on the cross, He abolished the law and the need to work for or earn our salvation. Paul helps us see that the purpose of the law is because of our sin, until God sent Jesus Christ to be the full atonement for our sins. What a privilege that we can be free in Christ and have the promise of adoption of faith in Christ alone. We read what Paul exclaimed, “For in Jesus Christ you are all sons of God, through faith...heirs according to the promise.” Through faith in Christ, we are no longer slaves but sons and heirs of God.
