High-Fidelity Conversations

[Ep26] REBOA is a minimally invasive technique that can be used to help control bleeding in certain trauma patients. On this episode, we talk with Andy Betz, MSN, BSN - aka the Trauma Program Manager within Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio. He also functions as a CNP at our local Mount Carmel East campus, which is a Level II Trauma Center. Andy has helped develop programs to utilize REBOA for two different healthcare systems, and now he's sharing some of the insights from previewing the latest iteration of this technology (the Partial REBOA) - and more - on this episode of High-Fidelity Conversations!

  • What kind of patient is the Partial REBOA designed for?
  • How does this technology work?
  • What are the different variations of REBOA technology?
  • Have there been any non-standard patient cases in which the Partial REBOA has been effective?
